It wasn't all nice there!!!! I missed my family, friends and Wife alot too. but when they came over things did get easier.
The HEAT was unbearable in the summer, i kep getting cramps in my legs and feeling really dehydrated. It was Awful.
My wife didnt really enjoy it, she was promised a job and that fell through too. I didnt feel safe leaving my wife at home ALONE!!!
Im not thinking of returning now!!! but i might want to go soon in the near future. |
Forget about being blocked; if that's the case, then you have no options. Otherwise, apply for a position with another contracting company (if that's all your qualifications can get you) and see what happens.
But the bigger question is why are you thinking of repeating what you refer to as a hellish experience? |

There are 14 reasons why I think he wants to return:
Money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, money, and money.

I don't understand how some people encounter such problems like not being able to cope with the heat, worrying about leaving the 'little woman' alone in a 'heathen' country, etc, etc...
Heat- drink plenty of water and stay indoors- everywhere it's air-conditioned.
Safety- one of the safest place in the world- men and women alike. Common sense prevails!
Loneliness- how is it men are always the 1st to buckle under the loneliness banner! How come women cope better?
Why do Western men assume that their 'women' have to be protected? What does it say about the single women who go there to work and feel completely comfortable?
It's very irritating reading such negative comments. (I know I shouldn't, but it's a habit). |

Do not even think about going back. You could not handle the first visit. What makes you think the second would be different ? |

Try going to the Saudi embassy to have the exit reentry extended.... Because OTHERWISE the law states that if you leave on an exit reentry and don't come back, you are banned from that heaven on earth for 2 years.

This is the pattern of this poster. Once his questions are covered, he deletes all his posts. Notice that he said "thank you." He seems to accept advice graciously even if it might not be what he wants to hear.

An abandoned thread... so sad.... maybe fill it up with nonsense until it gets deleted? |

Well, I suppose it's worth a try, cmp45, but it doesn't always work. |

I don't understand why he deleted the content of his post and the thread title? It could have helped others in the future. That was very childish.
Also, thread titles should not be modifiable. Plus, posts should only be modifiable within a limited time period, say 24 hours. |

Part of the benefit of a forum is that the material is accessible to all. Deleting it is akin to destroying information in the public domain ! |

I also think there should be a like / dislike button for every comment or some kind of rating system. |

. . . and perhaps a trending indicator so we can know what we should be talking about. |
