| Yeah, it's a nursing school so there's 1 class per grade that specifically majored in "English nursing". |
English nursing? Read between the lines. Normal English teaching might be 20-25 classes per week, 5 hours office time.
Now, engage brain, use common sense. Do nurses in your country work 9-5 jobs?
Anyone with a brain cell would know, a nursing English job would require different hours from the norm.
If you don't like it, become normal. Peace, I am out of here, homey-o and all that yo wee yos!!! |
Uh....cool story bro. Will read again. |

| English majors at a vocational? |
Henan Vocational and Agricultural College in Zhongmu City has 'em. I've seen others that do as well, but that's my only first-hand experience. |

Reminds me of SK public schools. Lots of pointless deskwarming. I taught 20 hours a week, but had to do the rest of the time in desk warming. But stuck to the same area and made more money than many others in my area.
If you have lots of desk warming, hopefully, you're getting other persk like a good salary and a nice apartment. If it is a good gig, please PM me with unis or public schools info from there. |

| Also in two minds ... if everything else is sweet and you are very happy ... these office hours shouldnt be a deal breaker IMHO. They arent even really too unreasonable ... just expecting you to be there between certain hours. |

Muffintop - the office hours are 9 - 4.30 with a long lunch break. Things could be worse ... If the salary was satisfactory and I liked the classes, living arrangements etc ... I wouldnt blow the job off because of those office hours. Id prefer not to have them of course. Like I said before ... Im in two minds really. |

New one on me. |
I worked at Hainan College of Foreign Languages and Vocational education. Most of the 5 year students were training to be English teachers and their major was English education. We also had English tourism classes with students who were on a different 5 year program. The 3 year students studied Applied English. |
