HI!

I am returning to Saudi and have been informed that i need a copy of my Final Exit Visa Form. I was never informed to retain a copy (live and learn) I should have made a copy of it when i left the Kingdom.

However, in order to return i am informed i need to obtain a copy of my Final Exit Visa anyone here know how to go about obtaining that? Can i get it from the embassy or online? Help

Any information would be greatly appreciated. I had an iqama before and am trying to get a new iqama through a different company.

I posted this in general Mid East forum, and i am posting it here too. I don;t know how difficult obtaining this from my previous employer may be, but any help using alternate methods will be greatly appreciated

Much Thanks

I'm not sure immigration actually retains a copy of your exit visa, and even if they do, I can tell you from experience they are disinclined in providing any information whatsoever. I was asked to provide the original form, although it was taken from me at immigration.

The Muqeem system (under the auspices of the MOL, I believe) is a data base created for employers to research prospective details regarding entries, exits, etc. of prospective employees. Unfortunately, participating in the system is not mandatory, so your past employer may not have subscribed. However, if he did, a copy of your exit visa, or at minimum, a number, should be available there.

If you are hesitant to approach your past employer, and if your prospective employer subscribes to the Muqeem system then perhaps they might use your passport details to access a copy of your exit visa or your number when last you exited the kingdom. I believe any entity participating in the system could do this.

https://www.eserve.com.sa/muqeem/

If this fails, then you may have to try an older final exit visa from a previous employer, and although theoretically this shouldn't work, your prospective employer may be able to push it thru with this.

Good luck.

1. As mentioned by rollingk, you should first try going through the (muqeem) system (muqeem, by the way, means "residency"). However, you don't necessarily have to ask your previous employer to get it for you.....you can do it yourself.

Go here: https://www.eserve.com.sa/VVSWeb/ and push the ENGLISH tab on upper left.

Then you have to enter 2 "values", such as your name (use capital letters), iqama number, visa number, date of birth, passport number etc. You at least know your pp number and your name and birthdate. Try different combinations of those. (Forget about the nationality tab.....currently inactive).
If you're on the system, you'll get a page with all your information which you print out.

If that doesn't work or you're not on the system:

2. Did they "stamp" your pp upon final departure? If so, that stamp might contain information you new employer can use.

3. Did you get a letter of release or letter of no objection from your previous employer? That might work. Do you have a copy of your "contract" from your last employer? That might work.

4. The key to your dilemma, is, of course, your last employer. But it sounds like you're not on speaking terms with him.

If that's the case and nothing suggest above works, you may be out of luck.

(And if your new employer is "influential", that might be all you need.....but it sounds like he isn't particularly influential).

Please do let us know how this turned out for you as others in similar situations would benefit.

And bonne chance.

WOW

Thanks for the help, i did know about this link but could not access it myself and have forwarded the information to my current prospective employer to try and obtain it myself. I believe i need to have a Saudi phone number to register.

The issue is this is a new directive from the Washington Embassy Others i have asked, included my employer and the agent are befuddled with this request as well, and i am not the only one that has been required to provide this document.

Also, the embassy is woefully behind and slower than usual in processing visas. My prospective employer did not make the request, the embassy claims this is now a standard

My previous employer may be willing to do it, i am waiting to hear back, and i have forwarded the link on to both the agent and the HR department who are keen to see this through.

Anyone else deal with this problem please let me know and how long did it take to straighten out?

Thanks again for the suggestions so far and the carefully written replies You guys are awesome

I do want to warn those currently in the kingdom that apparently this has become the gold standard of requests now. When you leave the Kingdom on a Final Exit Photocopy that form before you leave I wish i had

Sounds like someone just invented a new requirement. Never heard of trhis being asked for, but "there are more things in heaven and earth,,,,,,,,,,"

Could it be a stratagem for saying "No thanks, we do not want you !"

Oh God! Another piddly reason for the embassy to delay your visa. In addition to all those that the SACM can come up with.

I left Saudi in 2011 during one of the Eid holidays and decided not to return, because of family problems back home. I didn't get a final exit visa, but I contacted my employer and apologised, giving him my reasons. I have no outstanding issues with either my employer or any other company in Saudi (for example the bank). I have since obtained a new passport, which has no Saudi stamps in it.

I am now hoping to start a new job in Saudi in the fall. My new employer (with big wasta) is aware of my situation, but hasn't mentioned it being a problem.

Am I going to have to provide a final exit visa copy too? As I simply don't have one to give! If anyone can give me advice about this please pm me.

Thanks,

BB

Has that employer with "big wasta" advised you what response to give on necessary paperwork, wherein you'll either have to lie or come clean about having worked in KSA? If you lie this could short circuit everything if you are discovered. Also, the truth may be considerably more palatable to the concerned officials if you could get a letter from that old employer, explaining that your employment was interrupted and that they have no objection to your resuming work for someone else in KSA.

If you are only beginning in the fall, you've certainly got the jump on things. It's extraordinary for Saudi employers to hire so far in advance. Perhaps things are changing here?

It's not unusual; this is about the time of year when recruiting and hiring start in order to fill positions for the upcoming academic year.

No, they haven't yet. My policy will be to tell the truth if asked, but keep quiet until if and when I'm required to. Does the exit visa copy/NOC requirement always stand? I thought after 2 years (now reduced to 1 year, so I hear) out of the country this was nullified?
