I remember reading some negative posts in the past about Anhui such as the pollution, the people, etc.
Whenever I do a job search there are always seems to be quite a few job opportunities there. Is it because no one wants to teach/live there?
Have things improved in Anhui because whenever I think of applying to work there I get that "don't do that" feeling in my gut. |

Traditionally , Anhui was one of the poorest provinces in China - inland and undeveloped. The education system and facilities will reflect this.
I meet quite a few students and people here in Jiangsu who have migrated from Anhui for better opportunities (same in SH , I think), so be prepared for basic classrooms, larger class sizes and low overall levels of English among your students.
Not to say , you won't have a great time there, but forewarned is forearmed. Huangshan is in Anhui , so there are some very beautiful spots there. |
