|
|
A friend of mine is en route to Taiwan to join us lovely bunch of teachers here on Formosa.
Only problem is that he only has an associates, though he does have a celta certification for teaching esl. He is also fluent in Chinese, (his parents are Taiwanese) so he has said he would consider a "co-teacher" type position initially though he is a U.S. citizen.
What are his options here in terms of getting an ARC or teaching in general? Does anyone know of any companies out there that would sponsor someone in his position or hire him regardless?
Thanks in advance for your help! |

He can still find a job, it may be more difficult but it can be done. I found a job under an associate's degree and a TESOL and I don't have a foreign face like most parents are looking for.
Your friend can join the group, Teachers Against Discrimination in Taiwan on facebook. Job postings are there from employers who hire ABCs and CBCs. |
