|
|
Hi all:)
I was hoping someone could please advise whether a husband or wife would be eligible to receive an educational allowance if their partner was employed by a UAE university.
If not, any advice as to whether a university would also subsidise an employee's postgrad education if they were employed on a part-time or full-time basis.
Probably a long shot, but thought I'd ask.
Thanks heaps |

I'd say that the chances of this are slim and none... at least I've never heard of anyone managing it.
There is really no reason for them to do this as they have little trouble getting employees that are already qualified.
Many years ago in Oman, SQU would give teachers working on their PhD a lightened teaching load while they were working on it... until they realized that every single one of the teachers that they gave this benefit to bailed on them as soon as the degree was completed.

About as likely as an 'adventure' in Riyadh, I'd say. |
