Well my previous trip I flew to Thailand, then Cambodia (Phnom Penh) did a bit of sight seeing and then headed to Sihanoukville (their only port with nice beaches) They have a Vietnamese consulate there that will give you a Visa in under 15 minutes, while your waiting! It will probably be quicker if no ones there. (there were two french guys before me) I would think you could probably pay extra money to the embassy or a travel agent over in Saudi and get the Visa quicker then normal processing times, but technically you could do the above in 2 days time frame, maybe less if your fast and efficient. Fly to Bangkok, transfer planes, fly to Phnom Penh, take the bus to Sihanouville, bus back to Phnom Penh, fly to Vietnam. I did this but I had more leisure time and wasn't in a hurry. I know in Bangkok you have to wait at least 3 days for a Visa, (and thats when you pay extra money to be done quickly) not sure how long Phnom Penh takes. I know it may sound crazy but it would work and is pretty fast if you needed a visa in under 2 days from your plane departure from Saudi. I'm sure there's other options I'm just giving you a more adventurous one that will bring the desired result: A quick, no hassle Visa from the consulate in Sihanoukville.
If you go to Cambodia you can get a landing Visa there, so no big deal a head of time for that country. |
