|
|
Hi, I am desperately trying to find out if there is any way of applying to teach in Taichung or Taipei without a Bachelor of Arts Degree yet. I have an associate's degree, and finished my third year of college at Rutgers University. I am currently working like crazy to save up money to finish my last year. I was wondering if ANYBODY has any detailed information as to getting a job in teaching english over there. My mother's whole side of the family is over there, so I just need a way in to figure out where to teach. Please respond thanks |

What's is an associates degree? You may get away with it in some places (work legally). There are of course plenty of illegal jobs too. If your mother's side of the family are over there can't you get some kind of work permit / long term stay permit through them?
All the answers you need are here on this website (in the forum, on the Job Information Journal and the International Job section) & www.tealit.com. |

thanks for the reply, an associate's degree is from a two year college and i finished my third year but am saving up money to finish my fourth year so i can get my BA. Illegal, no thanks haha. My mother's side of the family is over there and they definitely can help, but getting my mother to ask them for me or nagging her is harder to do. So I just decided to see if I could find out about it by myself and get myself set up without them. thanks again. If you know anything else, please let me know thanks! |

You won't be able to work legally here. Your best bet, and perhaps your only viable option, may be to come as a student and work illegally. You wouldn't be the first. Lots of people do it and few ever get caught. |

Please read this

You will not have trouble finding a teaching position on Taiwan so long as you fit the Republic of China goverment's unofficial racial profile.
Good luck,
A. |
