5 am flight. Ouch. I think the sports bar at the airport is open all night, but I may be wrong. So I'll see you in September in Taps. Have a good flight and a fun time in Canada. |

I went to Taps a couple of years ago, pricey but good. Beer downright decent but not Deschutes...
Brown grainy mustard.... they have it but it's vinegar-y (not that I don't miss proper vinegar... balsamic vinegar...) I was thinking Gulden's kosher.
Steamed clams. Fresh crab. Tortellini. Chantrelle mushrooms. Soft goat cheese. Romano peccorino cheese. Hard cider. Shredded pork burritos. Russian fingerling potatoes. Yellow watermelon. Fuji apples. This is fun.
I noticed a plea for non-applicator tampons-- does that you mean you've found the other kind? And here I've been hauling costo-size boxes around. Even though I know you can lose your virginity to those things, tarnish your bride-price or whatever... |

In kayseri they occasionally sell non-app OBs under the counter in ezcanes (cos they are shameful?) but they seem to only come in packs of 10 super duper extra mega size. Seriously bad for your bride price. Must be why they are kept hidden. |

In Izmir all sizes of OBs are regularly available in all large branches of major supermarket chains: Tansas, Migros, Kipa etc |

I did say applicator ones. They sell ob non- app in Ankara too but I just bring boxes of app ones from Britain each year to last the following year. 27 days to go before I am back on my Brit-Turf. |

Pesto and Lea and Perrins. İ have been forced to make my own Pesto and am lucky enough to know someone who grows loads of basil ( and corıander) so İ shouldnt complain but its just not the same.
Yaramaz İ found grated parmesan at Migros and it was ok
Here in Antalya there are all sizes of non applıc OB s available not just under the counter but in supermarkets as well
On the subject of bacon İ got some when İ went to Meis İsland opp Kaş on a visa run recently ( its Greek and was well worth the trip). Mmmm it was GOOD. Mind along the coast there are lots of tourist resorts where you get an English breakfast ( bacon sausages etc) though İ heard that its brought over quick frozen by the people who then smuggle fags back to the UK so so long as they havent been held up at the airport for too long........
İ forget tortellini- bought everythig they had in the shop in Meis
And an İndian take away |
