I'm Canadian. I'm not sure, but I heard one can just show up and get a landing visa (same as a month tourist visa) at the airport in Vietnam.
Anyone confirm or refute this?
(I'll ask at the consulate office here -in Seoul- tomorrow) |

I can't refute it with authority, but I don't think you will be allowed to board the plane without a visa.. |

I think you are correct Micro. I was told I needed one, no landing visa. Gotta wait a week for it here. No biggie. Flight leaves next Friday.
(now where did I get the landing visa idea from?)

A day later:
Ah, perhaps I was confused by what I read somewhere. People from ASEAN countries can just show up. |

Singapore Airlines told my Saudi travel agent I could get a visa at the airport. I told I didn't believe it. He called the Vietnamese embassy here and was told three days. By the time all this transpired, I was out of time. |
