Hey everybody, I had another school I wanted to check out. This one is in the Wuhan Optical Valley. I have heard a lot of good things about Wuhan itself, but don't know much about the school.

Has anyone here worked at this place or heard anything about it. Thanks,

No, but I'd just email the foreigners at the school.

I just did a quick yahoo search...

I'm assuming you are aware of this website.

Yes, I have examined the school website. However, I do not put much stock in that. Nor do I entirely trust people who are still working at the school. I have heard rumors about Chinese employers encouraging people to say nice things about the school.

I think I'd get a more honest answer from a former employee.

Rumors. I heard a rumor that Wuhan sucks, but I've never been there so can't be sure. Won't speak for anyone else but I've never been pressured to lie when an employer has asked if someone can contact me.

Here's a question, how do you tell a former employee from a current employee on an anonymous forum? Trouble with former employees is they might have left the school five or more years ago and have outdated info. Or give the place a bad rating but forgetting to mention they were fired for being an ass. Like the other poster said, contacting current employees is a good idea, and it's what I think most people do when they consider a job offer here.

Good luck.

Wuhan is okay, all things being relative.

Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Shenzhen > Wuhan.

Wuhan > about 98% of the towns in China.

Never said I wasn't talking to current teachers, I just want a variety of information. Yes, on the internet you have no idea who is accurate and who is not.
