Hi
I was thinking about how easy it would be to teacher through Skype or just set up private lessons wherever you were, i understand that wherever you go will be different but i was wondering if anyone has any experience in this or any information. My idea was to get a part time job in a country i was in, in a school maybe, do Skype lessons and some private lessons as well and maybe some on meet up because i have heard of people setting up lessons on meet up and charging. So i was wondering if any has any experience or knowledge of this side of work. I would love to hear from you.

There are quite a few threads about teaching online -- use the search function to find them.
The viability of your plan to get a part-time job someplace and then supplement that with online lessons will depend greatly on where you intend to go. A part-time job won't get you a work visa/residency permit in most countries. In Japan, once you get a regular, full-time work visa and live in the country, you can then renew your visa under "self-sponsorship", which can include multiple part-time jobs. |
