Right now Im in T.O. Canada working at a clothing retail store, its not bad but I'm sick of retail and I love teaching. I was in Japan for a year on a working holiday visa and I loved it! But I also love Thailand. I'm thinking about going over to Bangkok for a year to work and travel. I have enough money to support myself over there for a year but I do want to make extra money on the side teaching and I don't plan to live there. I will be living rent free because my uncle owns a tiny hotel in Bangkok. I just want to experience the people and culture for a year, get more teaching experience and go back to Japan. My qualifications are a TESL cert and a 2 year diploma with 4 years teaching experience here in Canada and 9 months in Japan. Is this a good Idea? should I go for it?

Well if you got some money and a place to stay, why not? Thailand really needs teachers so you should be able to find some work. Your problem may be your visa as it is supposed to be more difficult to do continual visa runs thesedays and the fact that you don't have a degree will limit which jobs you can get. If you want to travel you should probably get private students instead of looking for a job. Most places want you to sign a one-year contract.
