| See my advice above. Life is difficult in KSA. Bringing a dog will make it even more difficult. If you feel that you cannot live without your subservient quadruped, give KSA a miss. |

I have to agree with scot. Saudis are not good to dogs. It has a lot more to do with culture than it does with religion. But nevermind....I would not recommend taking your dog there. I took mine there about 8 years ago. A black lab that was left in her crate for hours out on the tarmac during the summer. I was surprised that she survived. After I got to her, I had to run around for another hour, from one office to another, with paperwork.
It was a difficult and expensive process. In the end, I think my dog would have been a lot happier had I left her in her foster home in the US.
And its a similar process to fly them out....mucho dinero.....mucho hassle ...and not much of a life there....considering most Saudis hate dogs. |

Sorry, but you have the plot backwards. The problem is getting a dog from UAE to the Mediterranean. The idea is to avoid airlines in Arabia, especially during the summer. The dog should qualify as a hunting dog, thus not a "pet" by Saudi standards as previously stated.
Don't know if permission from a sponsor would be needed when on a visit or business visa, but hopefully someone would be generous. The pressing problem is finding a kennel or someone to keep the dog in a private house in KSA, likely in Riyadh until the next leg of the journey.
