You can pretty sure forget about finding a job in Hong Kong with your qualifications and zero experience.
Head north, man, and be more successful there albeit with lower pay and in a different environment. |

You need to get some experience before Hong Kong will really take a good look at you. Although, since you are in Zhuhai it might be worth just testing the waters just for the hell of it as I know a few people with little or no expereince who have found position simply because they were here and ready to go. |

If you're a bit low on quals and experience this is probably the best time to look for work in HK.....many schools need extra teachers for their special summer courses (the kids in HK don't really get a summer hol, poor things) and will grab anyone who speaks English. (OK...slight exaggeration...but...). Add to that the fact that many teachers are about to leave HK for their hols. Add to that the fact that many schools are also recruiting right now for courses beginning in September......a good time to try I'd say. |

Yeah Freddie... if you're in the NET Scheme.
Especially for a Newbie a tutorial school could really take advantage given they sponsor your visa. Not to mention, recently there have been several local centers who have deducted salaries for MPF and haven't paid. If you complain, they can just fire you... and then your visa is void and you need to find a new job and a new sponsor, if you can find one that pays a livable wage. Generally for a newbie the pay isn't all that high at a tutorial center and rent will eat a good chunck of your salary.
However, Marc is right in that there are some summer jobs out there now, but it requires a work visa. I doubt very much that a center is going to go through all the paperwork and time for just a 1 or 2 month job.
Just my 2 cents... |

You need a B.Ed for these jobs in NET or highschools - as in teacher training certificate? |
