So, I move a lot and I've run out of room for new addresses on the back of my resident card so I'm guessing I'll have to get a new one. The government site is remarkably unhelpful regarding the procedure/cost and I wondered if anyone else has had theirs replaced?

Ta very much.

Ah, happened to me too. They just put a piece of 3M type paper tape on the back, and then wrote the next address on it.

Thanks. I was totally worried that they were going to question my insane moving habits and then charge me a fuckton of money. Much appreciated.

They still might. I think it is up to the local people to decide. Heck, they might make you buy a new card, who knows?

So I managed to lose my resident card Sat. night in Osaka. I've already reported it missing to the police. Assuming no one turns it in, do first I go to my local ward office or immigration to get a new one?
