Nope, I would work for them. At least no one has said anything about starting my own company.

I have a question or two.

Did the school offer you an hourly rate to work OR a set number of hours for the contract?

Is this gross or net?

There are schools out there which specify an amount per month up to a certain number of hours over the course of the "contract", then overtime as well as employment agreements for a certain pay per hour. These can be two very different realities.

You'd obviously prefer the one which guarantees a number of hours at a specific net rate. If you only have a wage negotiation then you are at risk as to how many hours a week you actually teach/work.

Of course, if you are a quick learner you'll pick up private students and add to your income. This assumes you're reasonably successful at it.

Let us know what you decide and how it works out for you.

Like who? Not being facetious but would love to know.

If i said that contracts with schools in Poland don't include free back rubs at the local spa, Delph would cite one that does. Or at the very least, mention a school that "a guy I know works for" that has a massage chair in their break room.

I have seen schools that advertise 'free coffee and tea'.
