Hello.
I have heard that things are changing in Taiwan with the government and
their acceptance of University and college diplomas. I heard that they have just came out and said no more two or three year degrees will be accepted. And a number of Colleges won't be either. Is this true? Does anyone have any more detail on this?
It used to be that a 60 day visator visa can be extended twice
for a stay of 180 days, then it was expired. Does anyone know if they have stopped allowing this?
Have they limited the number of hours for foreign teachers working in Kindergarten classes as well?
Any help would be great!
Thanks. |

The only one I have heard of is the total ban of English in Kindergartens. Basically you are working illegally if you work in a kindergarten on Taiwan. They can not issue ARC's or work permits and Busi bans cannot teach kindergartens. There are two exceptions those being APRC and JRPRC holders.
The Ministry of Education is no longer allowed to issue visas for foreigners unless you are employed directly by them. They can make whatever decrees they like it is meaningless as they have been stripped of nearly all authority over foreigners working in Taiwan.
The council of labor affairs now controls the process check their website to see what is required.
Good luck,
A. |
