You wouldn't happen to be Shabaka management would you? For some reason it kind of seems that you are.

Moonboots is sorta famous in Shabaka circles. That said, I don't know if this poster is actually moonboots. Smile Moonboots also left before I arrived. The Saadouns are tightening everyone's belts but there own. I suspect he was there in better days if what he says was indeed the case.

While odd outlier positive posts about an employer with notoriously negative posts over years are often new management board members, in this case, I don't believe it is true.

We all know of teachers at bad employers who have an acceptable experience. According to his posts, he wasn't there very long.

Before becoming an over-paid, fake teacher, I spent ten years in advertising and public relations working on the creative side writing copy, press releases, and ads.

In short, I used to write corporate, party-line bullshi* and tweak it to read like vanilla ice cream oozing out of a golden orifice instead of the brown stuff known as “da truth”.

The marketing piece written by cyclistlongdistancerunner is pretty good. Notice how well it flows and covers all the key points that might concern the few teachers naïve enough to read one positive post (while ignoring the few hundred negative posts) and email their CVs. Can Shabaka now recruit teachers who live on the dark side of the moon?

Best,

LOL... well there are always those who believe the one positive post and disbelieve the two dozen negatives - whether it flows like advertising copy or not.

Is "moonboots" more famous in Shabaka circles than big ax-grinding Andy?

Is that Sheikr (sp?) from years of lore? Otherwise, I've no idea.

Are you referring to the gent from year one who was on strike? No, that's not who I mean. The principals know who I referred to. And I wasn't referring to
a member of the Junior Varsity who threw the new sofa cushions out the window and was later detained prior to das boot. I witnessed some real mayhem in my brief time there. Good "starter job" in Saudi Arabia? I say no.

Maybe it is good in that it makes any future job seem so much better?

No I am not Shabaka Management. My name "Kangoo Jumps" is clue enough for anyone who worked there two years ago as to who I am.

I find it sad that someone feels I am axe-grinding. I told the truth, and it appears that each year since I have been there, another group of disgruntled teachers has resulted from hockey coach's treatment. You are liked by him if you are just like him, with his attitudes and prejudices. I know people from each and every year now who have been treated like trash by this individual who has no moral character at all. So, I must honestly say that I have NO REGRETS whatsoever about what I have said - this man needs to be fired and replaced by someone who knows how to teach himself, doesn't embarrass himself in Bahrain regularly, treats female workers with respect and is truthful with the Saadouns, because I know this man is not. At 46, he lives a frat-boy life and relies on a few of his former employees to discredit the many who have been honest. Shabaka can be good - if the hockey coach is fired or leaves. Thankfully, his brother is now gone - don't know what he did to earn that dubious honor, but one down, one to go. This is my final post on this subject - I have said my peace.

They actually wanted me back, even after I told them they were horrible administrators and that I was sick of seeing the women on the compound being mistreated, and in several instances, abused. After airing my grievances, the hockey coach winked and said, "you know how women can be" - and then offered me a higher salary.
