Wow I am so excited. Do these cards have pictures of Jesus on the back side? I guess I could just photocopy pictures of the son of God and paste them on. It would be so neat.
I usually start my year off with singing Amazing Grace and a prayer but now I have something much better to help my students find the right path in life.
God Bless

I notice an endorsement from G Paltrow.
Not in the top echelon of Christian proselytisers I would have thought?

Whatever.
It's still peanuts per class use.

Um, no. Peanuts would be *not* paying 40 bucks for a handful of questions like "What's your favorite color?" or better yet, "What's the rest of the saying about a fool and their money??" Twisted Evil

What you're describing as *peanuts* the majority would describe as a waste of moolah, mate, but by all means put yer money where your mouth is and buy a pack of the things.

"What's the rest of the saying about a fool and their money??"
From someone whose logo is a clown face and a Stars and Stripes hat, that's pretty rich!

Says old, grandpa cantankerous with his non-existent avatar matched only by his bland, pointless posts reeking of bengay and Depends moisturizer. Grouchy at being ripped off for a pack of cards, LOLZ! Rolling Eyes

Regardless, aforementioned "clown face and a Stars and Stripes hat" is Captain Spaulding. He's much more cooler than you.
Deal with it. Cool

Can't make much sense of your post Listerine.
But anyway, I defer to your 140-odd postings and 4 months of experience on this site.
An attractively designed, downloadable item, if printed on decent quality colour card would avoid the problems of postage and of course delivery is instantaneous.

On a site like this it is inevitable that certain sentiments will be repeated. This one, though quite rare, has to be one of the most pathetic, sanctimonious notions to be bandied around Dave's.

"I have been posting on this site for a long time and VERY frequently - therefore my opinion is more valid than yours'

I mean seriously - how sad can an existence be that one seeks validation from spending hundreds of hours in a faceless chat room?

I have lived in China for 9 years - but that experience is less that years of postings?

TEACHER - Students - please define this argument:

"Posting on a message board makes one a qualified person"

STUDENT: "surely sir, that argument is Non Sequitur"?

Many posts may also mean you have more contributions to judge me on.
The PMs and thread acknowledgements about the value of my posts, clearly show that.
Rants about a supposed Christian bias to the OP and suggestions that because the resource has a cost it must be suspect, are irrational.
Teachers buying resources from their own funds is as universal as teaching itself.
My main point is that a downloadable item would be of more help to FTs.
This means purchasers are paying for the intrinsic value ie intellectual effort, artwork and typesetting and not paying for postage and packing.

Yes there is more to judge, but it in no way makes anyones opinion more valid. The mere existence of more evidence of sanctimony does not make sanctimony in anyway a good thing.

Seriously, if I thought that sharing a resource I thought was cool... for uni classes... was going to turn into this... I wouldn't have shared it.

Sorry everyone.

I guess this forum is best left to people complaining about their job or asking whether partially completing a two year diploma and failing a TESOL is enough to get a job in China. - Smile

Good point.
I'm out of the discussion.
