You're the one staking your own degree as a measure of the CELTA to criticize some other certification. |

I'm putting advice out there to anyone with a Masters who is considering going for the CELTA. I admit, I thought that the CELTA course would be a breeze. Instead, I found myself working harder and getting more stressed out over the workload than I thought. I watched another classmate collapse on the floor in tears because she thought she was going to ace it on account of having an MA. The course tutors from Cambridge will have no qualms in putting someone with a Masters in their place, or even failing them. I don't care about this other certification, which only holds weight in the MENA region, if that. They can't even come up with an original name (PCELT). The way you ask me to clarify my credentials, well, I don't have to explain anything to you, that is unless you're hiring. So, are you? |
