Whats the word on this place? Anybody with experience working there, or even hearsay, care to chime in?

The offer is 3200 per month plus the usual package. for MA in TEFL up to 18 contact hours per week.

I feel 12,000sr is on the low side for someone that has an MA in TEFL. If you have at least 3 years of experience after your MA, teaching ESL, you should be in the 15,000 - 17,000 range. In addition, The city sucks. I spent a few hours driving around (it's only about 3-4 hours drive from Jeddah) and it's just a lot of industry-related (oil/national gas) areas. In addition, the police are everywhere due to the importance of the industries. If I were to take a job there, I would certainly want a lot more then 12,000sr a month.

The low pay tells me that it might not be a direct hire position.

You didn't write anything about housing/transportation pay - maybe the pay is higher (?).

BTW, 18 contact hours per week is the norm at most colleges/universities in KSA.

And the OP didn't mention his/her relevant teaching experience (post MA).

thanks for the feedback.
i have an MA in TEFL, but I am interested in what others think about that place, YIC. could not find any comments about it. lots of years experience, post MA, but not all verifiable.

also, it is 3200 usd per month. yeah, i realize it is low. but thanks anyways.
