Hi all

It's that time of year when students are hacking and sneezing away all over the classroom desks, walls, computer etc… and I tend to overdose on honey/lemon and honey/cinnamon concoctions around this time.

Does anyone know where in Muscat I can find organic or pure (unprocessed) honey? Carefour has carried the Manuka honey before, but I'd have to auction off my first born to pay for it.

Suggestions for where to look would be most appreciated. I so wish they'd bring an organic foods shop to this city. Sigh...

There is a shop in Muttra Souk that sells local honey, don't know how much it costs though.

Omani honey is very good. And if you are taking honey for its ability to keep local bugs at bay, local honey is the best. Check with your students. They may even know someone who produces it - and an affordable place to buy it (ie not where the expats shop Cool).

Thank you ALL. Woke up with sore throat/headache/swollen glands this morning:( It's like I spoke this into existence.

I didn't even think about looking for local honey. Of course that would be better than shopping at C4. Sigh… Will see if some Omani colleagues are willing to bring me some and/or tell me where to go to get it...
