I just got a call from AEON with a potential position in Kanazawa in Ishikawa prefecture, which I have to either accept or decline in the next 1 or 2 days!! So, for those of you that are quick with your posts; any personal experiences or comments you'd like to share with me about this area? I have never been there before, last time I was in Osaka, and had asked to be placed there, but I'm not too fussed really.
My recruiter said it's called "Little Kyoto" and is a touristy kind of spot, lots of history and nature which sounds quite good. I'm going to have a look on the net now for some info as well, but I'd really appreciate any personal comments from anyone that knows anything about this place Smile Look forward to your messages!!

Nice city with lots of historical places to see. Its only about 3-4 hours by train from Osaka. Its not a shinkansen line so it doesnt cost a fortune either. I also visited Takaoka and Toyama near by and by my thoughts Kanazawa was the best place to stay in the region. They are nice enough but dont have the same history as Kanazawa. There is a good number of gaijin so if your worried about the social aspect, dont. I heard its very cold in the winter though as the winds blows in from Russia.
