Agreed, actually I didn't find Hawthorn too bad and Marivic, the Filipina admin lady, was very helpful. |
Agreed, Marivic is great. I have only been working for Hawthorne for a few months, but, so far I've got no real complaints. The housing and utility allowance is more than adequate, I've been paid on time, they provided good accommodation in hotels for the first week or so when I first arrived in Oman and the paperwork to get a liquor license, residency card etc have been handled efficiently from Muscat. If you choose to go to Muscat for a visit, they even help arrange accommodation in a four star hotel at a heavily discounted rate. In regards to the pay, I think I'll be able to save around 2,000 USD a month here without even trying. All in all, I think I could have done a lot worse  . |

| I think the Holiday Inn that they use belongs to the parent company hence the discount. I stayed there the first night I arrived in Muscat, nice hotel but a tad isolated for my liking. |
