I want to give a quote from a book. It's one paragraph. But I don't know the copyright laws for the internet. Does anyone know?

Dont klnow about the laws - if there are any but if its just one paragraph, just make sure you say where (the site) and/or from whom (author) it was taken. I really dont think u should worry about it.

The copyright laws for the internet are the same as the copyright laws for anywhere else. If you didn't write it, quote it and give proper credit. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think any author would have a problem with your quoting a paragraph or two.

you can copy and quote up to one chapter from a book copyright free if it is for academic purposes...

The doctrine of "fair use" applies in the U.S. to materials that are quoted and sourced if they are used as examples or as teaching tools.

I don't know about other nations' copyright laws.
