Are they still in jail? Already deported or what? I am very curious to know if Disney hired their lawyers and paid their fines? Did Disney think they were too big to be busted or what? From the article they are surely part of the fraud don't you think? Also what happened to the Disney teacher lawsuit from last year? http://eslwatch.info/forum/china/66-news-flash-disney-esl-teachers-busted-by-psb-visa-squad-in-chengdu.html

Didn't EF have the same problem last year? You know, if employers can't follow the law, the employees probably won't either. Now I know why the teacher turnover is so damn high in China.

I interviewed with Disney China last year and they wanted to send me to Chengdu. So glad I said no thanks.

Are the teachers free or still in the can? This happened about two weeks ago.

Who knows. But there have been posters who were booted from the Cafe for spamming the forum with links to outside blogs and scam sites. But then, you already know that.

What are you talking about? I see hundreds of threads with links to references and outside sources on almost every single thread in this website. Are you telling me you depend on all your information only from each other here? If yes, then one of you would know what happened to the five Disney English teachers that were arrested for fake visas and diplomas right? I always source my posts whenever I can.

Yeah Why? I also play boggle and word poker too. What does this have to do with the Disney English teachers?

If it's being discussed somewhere else, perhaps you should go somewhere else to discuss it.

That's the problem. Spamming and trolling are not allowed per the forum rules. Yet, some "offenders" never learn; they've made it their mission to flood the forum with erroneous web links to copied and regurgitated, gossipy nonsense being passed off as "news" and credible information.

Ditto roadwalker's suggestion. Head to those sites you linked to if you're itching to join in the gossip about Disney.

Are you saying this topic is "OFF LIMITS" here at Daves? If so why? The reason I came here to get an update is because nobody at the other forums knows what happened to the teachers and this ESLCafe is so big, I thought for sure that there would be some Disney English users here that would know what is happening or what already happened. Do you personally have any clue as to the outcome?

Hi Nomad. The arrests are factual so this is not about "gossip". I am trying to find out about someone I know that may be in the group arrested because her mobile phone has been "power off" for two weeks and I get no replies to email and the school says they "are not allowed to comment". So my friend, I am neither "trolling" nor "spamming" as you wrongly implied. Now that I accepted your apology do you have any idea what happened to the teachers?

There's nothing to apologize for. It's always best to post a link to a credible, bona fide news site as your source than spamming the forum with numerous links to suspect blogs and outside forums. Those sites have nothing of value to add and essentially point to more links to more lame sites with the same regurgitated topics.

In terms of foreigners being deported, they're generally detained, and subsequently, escorted to the airport for an uneventful exit out of the country. That's typical of deportation processes throughout the world. So if you're checking up on someone in particular, it's very likely he/she has already departed the country.

Like his dog Butch, the deported friend doesn't exist. This guy's probably registering his next two or three user names as we speak.
