I was just offered a position with them but I have no experience with this group in Beijing and never heard of them. Anyone here that can tell me whether I can trust them or not? They say I don't need a new Z visa cuz I already got one with my current employer. But I may have to quit that job soon over a housing problem. Thanks

They are an agency not a school. My encounter with them last year was a joke. It is a Chinese run operation and I met the manager, a young guy named Wang. Half way through the interview it became obvious he did not have my resume I had sent them three days before. So he asked me to start filling out an application form. I told him all that info was already on my CV and if he had any questions about my CV I would answer them.

I had applied for a position advertised that was very close to my home at Beiyuan, but he starts talking about a job in Fengtai (like 35 kilometers away!) Wang was totally unprepared for the interview and only cared about his needs and not mine. I then asked him if I could have a list of the openings within 10 kilometers of my home and he had squat. So I asked him about the ad that was still posted at 51job.com and he said it was filled two weeks ago! That job supposedly paid 20,000 yuan per month, and as of two days ago it was still posted. I personally don't think that job even exists.

So Wang passed me off to another girl who kept trying to get me to sign a contract without giving me specific information. It was really awkward and finally I said I need to at least know if the school was public or private and what subway station was closest and what was the salary. I got two out of the three. Then we got to the part about the visa and this bimbo tries to tell me that no teacher in China gets a z visa until after the 90 day probation period. I got up and excused myself saying I had to use the rest room.

I had a friend who worked for them last year named Stefan (an older guy) so I asked to speak with him. Wang's girl told me he "was busy in a meeting" and I could leave a message for him and he'd call me back later. On my way out to the "WC" I asked the receptionist if she could get Stefan for me, and she told me "he had to leave a few months ago and doesn't work here any longer." It turns out Stefan got deported for no Z visa! I never returned from the WC.

Just now, I found all the great reviews about them at http://eslwatch.info/china/4-review-china/china-recruiter-black-list/11479-expertise-education-beijing.html

What Fergie is saying is true I think. In my experience with them I always felt they were kind of shady. They had all this talk about giving me a Z-Visa but I always sensed they weren't being honest with me. Then as I did my digging I saw that many more people said bad things about them. Just not worth the trouble really dealing with them.

Another worthless recruiter that spammed the hell out of me for months. Then somehow they got my phone number and started texting me with high-paying 20,000 rmb jobs. Stupid me took the bait and wasted half a day with them. I went to their office within 18 hours of getting the offer of a "20,000 rmb per month - no weekends" offer and, son of a gun, that job was "just filled" when I arrived at 10am at their office! If you read their ads they make you believe you are responding to a FAO's or HR office of a school. Very sneaky Chinese bait and switchers. They are probably the reasons guns are illegal in China.
