I've decided to take my CELTA at ECC in September. Any recommendations on accomodation near Siam Square? I am looking in the moderate price range. Somewhere quiet where I can study would be good. Also is there anywhere you can go to use computers and print out your work? I will need this for my assignments.

Thanks for your help!!

A one inn is cool. I stayed on three occasions, very friendly staff and good location for Siam Square and ECC. You don't want to be traipsing across BKK during that long hard CELTA month. The rooms are about B500, but a few are cheaper, e.g. some on the ground floor. The backpackers can get a bit noisy so bring some headphones.

It has a website, you can find it on google.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming 500 Baht a night will include a desk of some sort. Is there anywhere I can get access to a computer with a printer? Do the internet cafes have these?
Thanks!

MBK mall next to the Manguphole ? hotel has computers, internet and printers on the 7th floor.

The A-One is a little futher and tends to be noisier than the Mang. hotel.
I paid about B 490 - B 500 per night. Reduced rates for 1 week or 1 month stays.

Thanks Rice Paddy Daddy! Maybe I can buy you a beer once I'm through the boot camp at ECC!! I will be graduating at the end of September, is that a good time to be looking for ESL jobs? Would you recommend I get my initial experience in a Language School? Or should I try a Thai school or University?
Thanks for your help!

np prob.
any time is a good time for conversation schools.

ECC will hire you after you finish your CELTA and even give you $700 back for the cost of your course (i think).

Hi,
If I want to complete a CELTA certificate course in Thailand, how soon do I have to apply in advance?

Thank you

I did my CELTA course last year, in London.

I would absolutely HATE to do it in somewhere like Thailand. I love Thailand, but doing a course like that is like a prison sentence. You can't have a life while you're doing it. Best to do it in London and then go out there after. IMO.
