Hello,

I saw some ads about the shenzen office of education recruiting. There are about 120 jobs. Do I need to go through a recruiter, or is there any way to apply directly?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenzhen
Click on 13.1 of Contents and you'll get a list.
Keep clicking and you'll get to some uni websites.
Most have a 'Contact' or 'Work for us' tab.
You need to be quite clear about availability i.e. new semester.
I think schools have less tolerance than recruiters for tyre kickers. Education offices working for a city or province are likely to be more reliable than commercial recruiters who can be transitory quick buck merchants.
Shenzhen U is looking but contact is by phone as far as I can see.
Best

Oh maybe I was unclear. I was talking about this posting http://www.eslcafe.com/jobs/china/index.cgi?read=35294

Seems to be for public elementary/middle/high schools rather than universities. Not the most relaxed schedule (20 teaching and 8 office hours), but it's not draining either and it's close to hong kong, decent weather too it seems.

28 hours all up is draining and the ad is a recruiter, so you're talking to a 4th party.
You
The advertiser
The Education Office
The school(s)
Holding anyone to account if you get there and things are not what you were told, is problematic.
As a first step I would tie down that you are accommodated on the same campus you teach at AND that you teach only at that campus.
You'll only get into that conversation if you apply, so proceed, but cautiously is my advice.
