Dear FCC and US cable companies: American cord cutting = eliminating cable packages for content viewing while keeping it necessary for internet.

Japanese cord cutting = independent internet. No cable provider. No phone company. Japan has lots of problems. Internet freedom ain't one of 'em. WiMAX technology. 40 bucks a month, unlimited, running 24/7. Fits in your pocket. Done.

Some start up American companies are attempting to bridge the great ISP divide between consumer and internet by breaking up cables stranglehold on overpriced, bundled internet, now deemed a necessary utility.

But while companies like FreedomPop, Scratch Wireless, and Republic Wireless boast very low-cost internet with chic, wanna-be indie status, they first require the shlepping of a brand new phone on you to get started. phone makers slapping them with the strong pimp hand. So they are phone companies posing as cheap isp's. Can you smell that? The smell of hypocrisy. Like a dumpster-diving hipster sneaking out the back door of urban outfitters with a brand new vintage flannel knit.

I feel like smacking the FCC and the cable company lobbyists pocket's where they reside. Convenient bedfellows while the American people have no idea how it can be.

Let's see what those google balloons do for developed America. people in the outback and across Africa will be rockin out with uninterrupted video streaming with reliable 4g while there likely will be a mysterious jet stream gap in the stratosphere exactly over US borders, keeping google balloons out of American air space, and true internet freedom a pipe dream, predicts the FCC.

The state of isp's in America is dismal.

my primary holding just chose jp morgan and citibank to co-underwrite their secondary offering... to control and walk the share price up going forward while protecting the company from HFT's and hedgies. it's like al capone and his crew being regulars at your sandwich shop... and then capone telling all his friends you make the best sandwiches in town..

jp and citi are master crooks who write laws (literally, citi wrote the recent legislation to repeal dodd/frank, which was passed!) jamie diamond is a very successful crook who has been left untouched. they are masters who go unprosecuted year after year.

Big money talks, and in every corporate language.. that said, make what deductions you want for the fcc and comcast regarding internet freedom.

but wake up... libor rate fixing originates in the UK (thanks barclays) and HSBC just got a large whacking... everybody's in it. but america makes the world much more entertaining with it's innovations.

Sounds like you watch a lot of Max Keiser, in fact your post is basically a Max Keiser paraphrase. You can moan as much as you want about citi ethics wise, but they have great products and service. They actually answer the phone after 1 ring and their credit cards are way better than anyone else.
