Hi everyone,

I am in the process of receiving my final exit and re entering KSA with another company.

Will I need to show a 'letter of no objection' or any other documents to the Saudi embassy in London ? (in order for them to process my new visa)

Or will it be the same process as before.

Anything else for me to bear in mind before I leave KSA on a final exit?? Will I need to inform my bank to close my account or can I simply leave with the balance at zero ?

Many thanks all.

You have to save and show the embassy the exit visa along with the exit stamp that is either on the exit visa or in your passport. The letter of No Objection is not required, the Letter of No Objection you might have to show to your future employer. Many companies don't provide Letters of No Objection since they are no longer required legally. Also check your contract and see if your former company has stipulated that you can't work for another two years in Saudi Arabia. If your contract has that once again many companies don't enforce that part of the contract as long as the employee doesn't cause any trouble for the former company. But you would need a verbal agreement from your former company on that.

Your embassy will want your college documents that have been assessed by the Saudi Cultural Mission. Make sure your prospective employer has provided you or the embassy with a hiring request stamped and with a seal by the authorities in the KSA. Also you will need to provide the embassy with a visa block number provided by your prospective employer.

It might be useful to get a Certificate of Experience. This is simply a letter saying "Mr AB worked for Abuklifty Shuftykus Enterprises as an Instructor from 1.1.2011 to 2.1.2015"

There is another thread here about the utility of these certificates, used by some employers in calculating years of related experience.

Do not make the mistake of a fdormer colleague of mine. He took all his salary and end-of-service benefits in n cash, but forgot to convert the Saudi notes into foreign currency. Have you ever tried to change Saudi Rials in Bucharest ?

That shouldn't be a problem, companies are required to give them to exiting employees.

Do you have to close Saudi bank accounts and show evidence of that on final exit?

Thank you.

With regards to the above, is this necessary for UK citizens?

I didn't have to do it when I did my visa process last year. They simply required copies of my certificates.

Will bear that in mind, thanks.

I have converted Pounds to Riyals and vice versa in London (Edgware road). Quite popular with arabs and Saudis!

In the Edgware Road yes, but not in Bucharest !

There is no need to close Saudi bank accounts but they will be blocked when you do not update your Iqama.

They'll want to see the copies of your certificates that were signed (attested) by the Saudi Cultural Mission and returned to you along with all the other documents and your visa last time.
