Is Education Experts still about then? I see they are recruiting for various cities in KSA, plus for PNU and KSU.

I thought that they had lost the KSU contract and weren't there any longer. Are you looking at old info? |

Yes they are very much so about. Like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, your own wife could be one of them.

Education Expert? There's only ONE left. Probably that bloke with a tattoo circling his neck - the cut off point. |

Are they still sending teachers to Najran? Should be interesting now, and it should pay about 10 times what it used to pay. I guess they will still have the majority of teachers from the Asian subcontinent, who are overqualified and see the low salaries as good. Wonder if they still have any teachers from western countries there? |

Yep, they're definitely about. One of my friends recently got scammed by them for her 500GBP medical, and she's basically getting a lawyer involved to try and get the money back :/ |

She could get scammed by the lawyer for another £500. |

At $300 US an hour, no thanks. Put some of the specifics on the board here, it's the best you can do. |

Thankfully she studied law so she knows a bit about law, but yeah, you're right..!

He means that he wouldn't waste his money paying lawyers, and would just name and shame with details around the web.

Ahhh, got it.
Well, I've explained that to my friend but she's not prepared to do that...she's hellbent on getting her money back! |

The reality is that her chance of doing that are slim and none... and if she has to pay the lawyer, she will just be out more money. I don't recall anyone except Americans paying anywhere near that for the medical exams, so it sounds like she hadn't checked things out properly before she jumped into this process and paid more than she should have.
She should consider it a lesson on dealing with Saudi Arabia and move on to trying to find a job in another country. I wouldn't say that she was scammed, she just messed up... an expensive lesson for her.

Yes, Ed Ex is still about. Presumably, they are still bringing people over on work/visit visas so the Gorilla and his family can get kick-backs for all the airfare tickets.
Dr. Harvey Wallbanger, the disgraced former American university president is no longer the Western front man for Ed Ex. He is reportedly living in a homeless shelter somewhere in the U.S., as he has yet to resolve his addiction to that which is banned in KSA.
There was a post a year or so back that someone had succeeded in getting damages against Ed Ex in a U.K. court for the failure of Ed Ex to get the promised iquama, and pay the required year end gratuity, etc. For some reason that post mysteriously disappeared, but holding a company responsible outside of KSA is not impossible.

I told her near enough the same thing, but she hasn't listened to me, AND is still intent on going to Saudi Arabia, despite the fact I told her step by step which company to apply for and how to do it. So yes she did just jump in heads first without checking anything.
Also, I paid 500GBP as well for my visa. And it was only until I got the refund did I realise my contract wouldn't even cover all that...thank god it covered MOST of it.. |
