Yes, you are right Pikqtina, I checked on the map now, it is I think beyond the Al Ahsa Oasis, I mean Qatif. I visited the two towns on the same day, so I thought I was still in the same Al Hassa area.
Qatif is very picturesque, and there is a famous souq Al Khamis there, truly a regular weekly grand event for the area, where Ambergris and goats merge together in smell. But to live there?
The last real Ibadi Imam of Oman died on exile somewhere in Al Hasa oasis, this I was told.

Dear Akoo,
I had been with the Shabaka organization in the early years back when they were renting out an apartment block across from King Faisal U. We used to walk to work doing the frogger routine crossing the street in front of the gate. Since then they have moved to a hotel and finally a compound. My contract back then was 3550 US and we were getting housing provided. Over the years this amount has decreased except for the hockey coach who seemed to get special bonuses, like going to Bahrain on weekends for debauchery sessions. I have since then warned all who wanted to go there, simply on the grounds that upper management is a farce and incapable of human relations, not to go there. I am and will always be opposed to this foreign intruder who has set himself and his sibling up in a fascist regime there.
Therefore I am for the boycott and blockading of Shabaka. Let them starve and find no teachers so that they (the fascist foreign regime) must now teach themselves.

Could apply to a few more places.
Where I'm based the farce extends to Walter Mitty teachers assuming they are part of management so much so that they have updated LinkedIn profiles with bells, whistles and concocted abbreviations.
Though, we do have a good laugh from the regular updates. |

Shared? Were you able to negotiate something better than this? |
