| I am still waiting on KSU decision about my application, do you think they will make a decision before Ramadan? June 18th. Has anyone else being offered a contract by Al Hussan? |

I have also received an offer. 12750 basic plus allowances. Starting August.
Anyone already there which can shine some light on the housing conditions. Also is taking the allowance always an option or only if housing isn't available. which is better and why. Many thanks. |

| I got offer from al Hussan back in April. I was told they are notorious for not following up with their offers. Luckily I got another offer from ICEAT . Altogether it took me 4 weeks to get visa. I am flying out to Riyadh today. I am bit nervous. |

If it helps, you won't be the only one new to KSA; there'll be others to "figure it all out" with you.
What type of visa did you get? |

| Do you know if you're teaching classes straight away? It would be great to hear your progress - I will be out there (hopefully) in about 4 weeks. |

I have just been offered a preliminary contract of 12750 SR per month too.
The visa is an iqama.
They've just called me answering some questions I had. The accommodation is furnished in a building with other teachers from KSU. They provide transport to and from KSU. It's about a 35 - 45 min commute. You start at 7am till 3pm. |

Not bad. Is that for an unrelated MA and 2-4 years of teaching experience? Are you really leaving at 6am to get to work?! |

6am. Yup.
I don't have an MA or any experience. I had an interview in London on Saturday. Felt I interviewed really well and as a white western woman, I told the interviewer that I had friends in saudi and am under no illusions of what it'll be like there.
They couldn't tell me there and then cause I lack experience and higher up will have to decide.
edit - I do have a tesol degree and trinity cert. And a nursing degree. |
