Anyone know anything of the reputation of Instituto Cultural Oaxaca for Spanish classes? I plan to do the immersion thing before travelling and working... interested most in Oaxaca, and this school does immersion and has a cultural course element in the afternoon.
ps- I'll be there end of Sept-Oct
pps- any other advice/comments about Oaxaca as a place to visit/live/work? |

I studied there over 10 years ago so I can't say what it's like now. I chose to live with a family only for the 1st month. After that, another student and I decided to rent an apartment. (We were both staying for 6 months.) The cooking classes in the afternoon were fabulous too. |

I haven't studied there, but I've worked with several people who have. All have given good reports, although a couple perfered BECARI over ICO. |

I studied there for three months with a study program through my school and loved it. I thought that the teachers were great.. the admin could have treated them better but I hear that they were some of the better paid teachers in Oaxaca which is nice. It is a beautiful school! |
