Try that tack on the schools that offer on site TEFL certs with a practicum before considering your employment with them.

I don't work for schools that offer online scams. Lots of them about, but they usually employ other no-hopers. They wouldn't like, or get, someone such as myself - with real qualifications.

So getting an advanced cert to teach in VN is now a scam?

I thought you guys were arguing for advanced quals above the on-line cert?

Just not when it applies to the vastly inferior VN and SE Asia.

Yeah, I'd love to be western and work in Russia right now. Your judgement is spot on.

What is advanced about your online cert exactly?

This thread was entertaining enough at the beginning, now it's just painful to watch someone continue to utterly humiliate themselves.

Yes, the OP has probably long since finished his CELTA, landed a fantastic jobs, and is sitting back laughing himself to death every time he checks in on this thread. (And, in the meantime, Comrade Sasha has probably finished building a nice summer home in the Russian countryside with the premium commission payments he has collected from all his shilling on this thread.) Wink

I've already laid the foundations for another dacha in the Crimea. There's been a spike in Celta applications recently, especially in the Far East. My Cambridge controllers attribute this to my shilling. So plenty of shillings in the bank to cover construction costs Very Happy

I wonder if he'd be willing to come back and comment on whether or not that Delta has been a "step backwards" in his professional development. Laughing

It sounds like that's your story, and your stickin' to it, regardless of all evidence to the contrary. Oh, well, at least I can give you an A for tenacity. Wink

VC . . . er, um . . . Kurtz . . . uh . . . I don't know. Why are you and your Celta-shilling friends always asking me questions about stuff you know I couldn't possibly know with just an online cert?

More likely a PHD in trolling. Actually a doctorate in denigrating and demeaning people who aren't like you is the ticket. Yeah that's the ticket.
