Eliciting examples of the second conditional with: "If I had 5 million riyals, I _______."

One girl piped up with, "If I had 5 million riyals, I would buy a house, a car, and an American husband."
Followed immediately by a classmate, who exclaimed, "Miss, if I had 5 million riyals, I would buy two American husbands!"

One of my funniest experiences was reading an essay by a student at the Abu Dhabi Women's College who was too quick to accept MS Word's suggested spelling corrections.

She wrote an essay about her aunts in Dubai--how everyone loved her beautiful aunts, family members always kissed her aunts, etc.

The only problem was that throughout her essay, aunts had been replaced by anus.

You have 8 meters of fabric. A dishdasha, (thobe) takes 3 meters to make.
How many thobes can you make?
Student responds with the anwser:3
I ask for an explanation.
Students says: 2 regular ones and one for a"Matawa"

One teacher I knew in Oman had jaundice from drinking too much, and looked more like a vampire, than an english teacher (or is there not much difference?)

Apparently, his students asked him: "Teacherrrrrr, why is your skin so yellow!"
