Holy mother of God... will the Chinese ever run out of ways to cheat people? The latest seems to be a proliferation of on-line schools that tell you nothing but there price and schedule. Just ask them to identify the owner, their office address, their business license or SAFEA registration number and see how quick they hang up the phone! I think these Red Flags should apply to any private school - especially this new "online variety". There simply is no accountability if a teacher does not get paid.

Sorry to say but some of the above comments are misdirected. I represent nobody but myself. Are you guys saying you are willing to work for someone who will not identify themselves, have no business license and no physical office? After you give them 40 hours of your time tutoring on line and you don't get paid, what will you do? You don't even know who cheated you!

Or suppose your white foreign face is used to recruit a hundred students in China and they decide to abscond with the tuition money. How will you feel then? You became part of the scam whether you like it or not.

You guys are brain dead if you require no identification from the people who offer to hire you. This has nothing to do with CFTU btw. It is about common sense and the latest Chinese scam that needs foreign teachers to operate.

So, ... just to be clear, all of these things happened to YOU?

Why not use the first person then, and write up your story of warning, so we can all benefit from your horrible experience and learn something new?

Or, are you just being evasive?

You guys still did not say if YOU personally would...

1) Work for some Chinese employer who only gives you a fabricated Chinglish name?

2) Work for some Chinese employer who has no business license?

3) Work for some Chinese employer who gives you a street address occupied by someone else?

4) Work for some Chinese employer who makes you work for 45 days before you are supposed to be paid?

5) Work for some Chinese employer whose only contact you have is a free disposable email address and burner mobile phone?

So if you answer "yes" to to the above, please send me a PM so I can sell you my 5 acre water-front Florida lot in the Everglades!

So where can one find legitimate ads. Seems like all the ads on here and else where use the 163, qq, or some other free email. They also all ask for a passport scan immediately with your app.

Do the gov't schools or legit businesses outside of the language mills even post their own ads?

I worked for a British franchised located in a Chinese university and as far as I know ... never advertised.... didn't really have to, but they did use a placement company one year.... dismal results...

Still waiting for an intelligent answer. Is that asking too much?

Got to give CFTU credit for being so persistent.
