Is it possible to get back a portion of the tax that u pay when u leave China at the end of your contract?

Which? The required tax in China on your China job? And did you're school/TC do it? The one back home, if you're required to file and pay back home?

I am referring to the tax u pay on your Chinese salary. Is there any kind of tax rebate or does it just disappear never to be seen again? lol!

good luck . I only know one person who used it .. but tho their credit .. they were successful ... but not without effort...the last part may be an understatement

My old employer (private language centre) did it for me. They included it in my final month's pay.

I never asked for it. Didn't know anything about it, until it was detailed on my release docs.
