Hi,
Has anyone lived, or worked in Macau. How does the cost/standard of living compare to mainland China (I previously worked in Fujian) and what are the possibilities for EFL employment?
Thanks,

I was offered a part-time job there, nothing more. Part-timing means that you have to have a full-time job in the first place, which nobody seems to be able to offer, end of the loop.
Costs of living: A part-time job does not earn you enough to pay for your rental, and without being legal I would not try!
There is an alternative: Zhuhai. You can cross the border on foot. Zhuhai has several reputable training centres.
I wrote "Twilight over Macau" several months ago in the Job Information forum - to give you an idea of what is in store for you!
Personally, I like Macau, but it has no good prospects! |

Thanks Roger. I searched for your posting on the Job Info Journal (Gen/Cn/HK), but couldn't find it.
