It's not uncommon to get a cruisy 14 hour schedule in Semester One and to get 16 or even 18 in Semester Two.
You are on a 10-month contract and as far as the school is concerned the contact hours are averaged out over that time.
Also overtime kicks in at 20+ hours generally.
My high school teachers had around 20 contact hours pw. The difference was the hours of marking which we Oral teachers don't have as much of. |
