English not their first language I assume? What level of english would they have in our terms (ie grade 4, grade 7 etc)?

If the topic can be about anything, what's the purpose of the report? Is it a report for the sake of a report or is it for something more specific?

Actually, rather than asking all these questions, if they gave you a job description or something like that it'd help if you post that here so we have a good reference point.

Hi Migo,

It is simply a school newspaper.

I am asked to write something, anything. I doubt anyone reads it, save some of the English teachers. Students would glance at it, see that it is all in English and look away, save maybe some good students.

They are Japanese high school girls. There English level is nill. They are lethargic, unmotivated, spoiled kids.

There interest in order of popularity are shopping and sleeping.
