| Greetings,people. What's the official line on this teaching qualification in UAE? Does anyone have any experience with using it as an academic teaching credential? Be interested in hearing. |

| Since most of the posters on this forum teach EFL (not content) at the uni level, you may not get much in the way of responses. I suggest you do an Internet search on Nottingham University UAE pgcei; the PGCEi is offered via NU in the UAE, which seems to add to its acceptance. Also, check out the requirements for current teaching opportunities to see what employers require, and for clarification, definitely contact the recruitment agencies I mentioned on your other thread. |

Thanks nomadsoul I dropped an email to one of them as you suggested but didn't get a reply. Which kinda made me think the worst! I'm dabbling around right now, getting a feel, grateful for the pointers. And I am grateful to you for pointing out the general EFL focus of posters here. Will keep you posted. |

| Will the course give you the QTS needed to make it worthwhile? Are they going to place you into a school for your teaching experience? Having a PGCE alone, I think, does not give you QTS. You need classroom experience, logged, to activate it. |
