The end of service benefits of worker’s rights on the employer in the case of termination of the employment contract, and it is obligatory on the employer to pay the worker at the end of the contract of employment, whether it is a fixed-term contract or indefinite. That’s the easy way to estimate end of service benefits expense, the maturity date of the reward, and how to calculate it according to the rules of the Saudi Labor Law:

It's a governmental website and, from my understanding of current Saudi labor law, is accurate. |

Saudi labor law is an exercise in promotions, like a public service announcement produced by a beef or dairy council. That's not to say the ministry won't take any case, but...be prepared to wait...years.
Contractors especially, but not to exclusion, make a practice of never informing you of when they have documented a breach of contract. They don't fire you and they just don't tell you. I'd actually gained the respect of a middle manager in my three years that warned me in a strained, vague language that a request for leave (that his boss prefer be used to scuttle a bonus) could not be advised.
The business model for contractors is a yearly turnover. That said, I was awarded three years and I knew a few others awarded their two. Single years are part of the business plan. |

In my experience I've found that it is impossible to calculate what your bonus will be. That being said, in 3 KSA contracts and 2 UAE contracts, my bonus turned out to be more than I expected.

Mine was in the contract, too. Half a months salary for the first 4 years, but you didn't get anything if you left after one year, You had to stay for 2 years and then you'd get one month's salary (so, if you left after 4 years, your bonus would be 2 months salary. Upon completion of the fifth year, it upped to a month's salary for each year (so, if you left after 5 years, your bonus would be 5 month's salary.)
Regards,
