I'd been in Japan on the JET Program for a few years and moved back to America this summer. I've been looking for a domestic job but haven't had much luck. This weekend I got an email from Clifford saying they'd seen my resume on an ESL job site and wanted to know if I was interested in a job. The benefits looked really nice, and they said I'd have about 24 classroom hours a week with 25 students each. I wanted to do a little research on Clifford and see if this was a good, dependable offer, but everything I've seen about Clifford online has been from 5 years ago. Can anybody tell me about the current situation at the school? |

If this is the one in Guangzhou my info is positive.
It's a true international school and kids are mix of wealthy Chinese and expats.
My understanding is they want home-country certificated and experienced staff.
Money will be waaaay better than a bog standard FT uni job.

I've just come from their campus.
They're a lovely school.
However, that email didn't come from them. It's a scam.
Know that~
You're welcome. |

Yes unlikely Clifford would use a job site to locate staff as they have extensive networks back into the countries where they like to draw people from.
Good to have on the ground reaction to the actual campus. |
