Wondering if anyone has current info on this school. All the reviews I could find on International Schools Review are dated before 2012. I'm a newly-qualified social studies teacher so I know I cannot afford to be too picky. I've also lived abroad teaching ESL in Korea for 4+ years, so I'm familiar with the ups and downs of living abroad.

Any information on the school or life in Pachuca/Hidalgo State is much appreciated!

I can’t tell you too much about the school and there have numerous posts here about it (not too complimentary it has to be said, but ok maybe as a first job).

Pachuca itself I’m very fond of; a nice compact city with an interesting history, not too big and a quite forward-looking, progressive administration: they’ve just started operating a bus-tram transport system across the city. There are enough shops, restaurants, cinemas, etc. for most needs, and Mexico City is just an hour away, Puebla two. Hidalgo’s a very nice state, more tropical climate to the north. Pachuca can get quite cold in the winter months though, close to freezing at night at times.

Love Pachuca...not very large at all, but the cuisine is one of my favorites in Mexico.

AS Pachuca is the top school in the city. They went trough some upheaval a few years back but have leveled out under new leadership. I think when evaluating a school, it's always a good idea to look into who is at the top - Daniel Dares in this case - and who the department and section heads are.
