|
|
Hi!
I realize that this question may be out of place on an ESL site, but I'm curious whether anyone has had any experience with teaching German in Japan? I am a native German who has been living in Canada for years, and I'm thinking about going to teach English in Japan early next year.
I'm wondering whether teaching German would also be a possibility for me.
Surely the need for German teachers won't be as great as for English teachers, but I wonder whether anyone has heard of/been at schools which teach foreign languages other than English.
Thanks for any feedback you can offer! |

I believe NOVA and Berlitz offer such classes.
The high school where I work also does, but the Austrian teacher there only has a couple of lessons per week, so I'm sure he has other gigs to keep his salary up. He is here on a spouse visa, too. |

The school I go to for Japanese classes is also a German language school.
This is the website for the japanese school.

If you get in touch with someone there they will be able to tell you a bit about the German School |

I think Interac mentions on their site, that they recruit for other languages. I am sure there is probably a demand for business people learning German. |
