Hi all,
My partner and I both hold American MAs (Writing and Communication), and she has an American credential while I have a Thai TESOL cert. We're currently living in Chaing Mai, Thailand, and we're getting ready for a 14-day whilrwind tour of Hanoi's EFL teaching options.
My questions are many of the typical. We're looking for advice on Hanoi area schools that have good and bad reps, which pay best and which don't pay at all. Dodgey scams to avoid? Areas of town where we might find a fairly quiet community for living? Places to avoid? We're both pushing 40 and are really just interested in doing good work and living a quiet life. We've been in the international teaching and teacher training game for about five years and hear great things about how Vietnam is changing education-wise.
