|
|
So I am thinking about moving to AD for a high school job and I like to keep busy.
I know there are many expats there and thus, I wondered how tough it is to get private lessons or corp classes.
Any feedback would be valued. |

Don't get caught, and if you are teaching Emiratis, get paid upfront. |

Seems that article was from 2012? I taught kids of police officers, and had several teacher friends who were getting privates from the schools themselves...it may not be illegal, but most don't care. Including police |

A big reason that public school teachers are forbidden from privates is that, due to their high ethical standards, many P.S. teachers hold all the "good" lessons in reserve for those who pay over and beyond the largesse that the state pays out.
Here's a big secret: EVERYBODY KNOWS IT!!! |

Everyone may know it, but it's still not legal, right? And that means if some one or more of the everyone get(s) pissed at you, he, she, they has/have a way to cause you trouble.
Regards,

I know private lessons are illegal... they are everywhere including the KSA where the dean's kids were tutored by the best brown noser on staff. They are in Korea as well where I taught the director of the KCIA.
My question again - does supply surpass demand? |
